The White Shirt Trend For Women

Sunday 9 August 2009 @ 4:53 pm

White shirts, traditionally thought to be only for men have entered the women’s world with a bang ! The main feature of white shirts is that they are timeless beauties which will never fade from the fashion world. Whatever the season or occasion, they are everywhere to help you enhance your personality with chic and trendy style.

White shirts with a traditional collar and are an integral part of women’s wardrobe since they go well with any colour skirts or trousers. According to a research carried out by a leading designer company, 83% of women from all age groups prefer white shirts as their wardrobe staples.

In this season, we can say for sure that the emphasis is on the development of women designs with more detailing and it definitely is the right attitude, since trends and styles are becoming more popular than simple, plain clothes. Among a crowd of various colours, white has gained outstanding popularity as the modern flavour of the season and this tells a lot about its success story. Many leading designers have their stores all over the world displaying a range of only white shirts. After seeing these shirts, it is a wonder how they are able to make each shirt unique but look carefully and you will see the intricate finishes which make fashion design’s clothing so bespoke.

The statement shirt, the classic white shirt, and the masculine shirt (Tuxedo style) are the three popular genres you can choose from. Oversized boyfriend shirts are also becoming very popular among women of all ages. In the office, it is safe to wear something serious but classic. Shirts with a stand-up collar or traditional collared shirts with French cuffs look great as work wear because they reflect your taste and style. Peasant or masculine styles can be a good choice for casual wear, whilst in the evening, white shirts with pleats, collar detailing or ribbons look chic and elegant. The latest favourite of this season are shirts with a pussy bow.

Before selecting your shirt, you should consider the material first. Pure cotton shirts look classic, crisp, elegant, and sharp especially if they are white. The fabric is important so that the shirt can be worn throughout the year. Cotton shirts with a little stretch are also available to give a softer feeling and are the ideal choice for women who wear plus size tops.

White does not mean only pure white since white also has its shades such as off-white, ice-white, as well as sharp and bright white. Avoid grey shades because these look dull. If pure white does not suit your skin tone, then opt for off-white and make it look colourful with a printed scarf, necklace, or a brooch. Cotton shirts need some maintenance as they need to be crisp and so should be washed carefully in order that they don’t take on a dingy mixed wash white as this will quite simply spoil the whole affect.

Top Fashion Trends In Women’s Trousers

Friday 7 August 2009 @ 10:44 am

Just like the summer or the spring seasons, winter too has its own fashion quotient, colours, designs, and endless trends in trousers. A strange thing about winter is that women, who generally like to follow the skin-show, fully cover themselves from neck to toes!

Some women think that their hard work on treadmill will go to waste because they believe in making fashion statements. For these women, choosing the right pair of trousers becomes a really daunting task to keep their perceived image of ‘a stylish woman’ intact.

With the right style and correct fitting of trousers, you can easily be the centre of attraction. Tailored trousers can explore your well-maintained curves and provide your bottom with a good shape. Select your trousers carefully and check out how you look in different styles and then, buy the ones which best suits your figure and personality.

In case you are someone with a good height and possess a pair of long legs, then nothing can beat wide legged trousers. Trousers with a bit loose bottom suit people who have long, thin legs because skin tight styles can make them look too thin. The trousers should be tight at the waist and fit perfectly on hips so that they do not hang loose and low if you want to achieve a chic and elegant look.

Dark shades like black, blue-black and olive are the colours for these types of trousers. Woollen fabrics are the best choice for winters for ultimate comfort and warmth, pair them with dusky pink, olive or white tops to really show you have good taste and style!

Women who are short and are on the larger side can also wear long legged pants but with high heels to look make them appear tall and slim. To compliment a slimmer look, a long jacket over a plain top is highly recommended.

In 2009 skin tight jeans have taken the market by storm. Skin tight jeans suit slim women well but larger sized women can also look slimmer in these jeans. Tight jeans have especially proved a boon for women who wear plus size clothing and wish to make a fashion statement, by wearing boots and cashmere sweater, your tight jeans can create magic in the way you look and feel.

Moreover, pairing your well-tucked bright shirt with a designer belt will just work wonders to give you a unique, attractive and trendy fashion style by cleverly disguise any lumps or bumps!

Leather trousers are the best choice for people who want to look bold, trendy and beautiful. Leather jackets are a hit not only in winter but also get a warm welcome in the spring. Although, these jackets are somewhat expensive, they last for a minimum of two seasons and make sure that your investment does not go to waste.

With leather trousers, tops with different materials, such as cotton, woollen or semi woollen in bright colours will go well together. Leather jackets with leather pants do not give women a feminine and sophisticated look unless they are deliberately going for the ‘biker’ look!

Lingerie is Good for Men and Women

Thursday 6 August 2009 @ 10:08 pm

Lingerie is not a new sexual trend. In fact, its been around for centuries. Despite this, it has managed to remain highly popular among couple due to its unique visual appeal to our sexuality and its constant evolution as tastes, and fetishes, change with the times.

If you aren’t familiar with lingerie, here is a quick run-over. Lingerie refers to special clothing(usually underwear) designed to sexually enticing.

Usually, such items use colors, frills, revealing styles and role play to create the desired effect based off individual fantasies or fetishes. From the classic french maid outfit, that appeals to sexuality using shorts skirts and while using an age-old fantasy as a selling point, to skimpy, “barely there” thongs, hundreds of designs have been created, each appealing to a certain type of person/ couple.

There are a lot of things to consider, when buying lingerie(this is mainly targeted at men). Remember, lingerie has to do with sex. Sex involves two people. Be sure to consider what she wants before you go pick up one to surprise her with.

1) Color - While it might be tempting to buy classic red, or black, lingerie, be creative. Try her favorite color(that she wears) or yours if she doesn’t hate it. Just use your imagination.

2) Material - A common, seemingly obvious, mistake is buying lingerie made from uncomfortable materials. The material might not be uncomfortable in itself but she might have a dislike for it.

Check what materials her other underwear are made from and use that as a guideline. Oh, and don’t be afraid to ask her best friend for advice! It actually looks better on you than a poor choice, especially if she doesn’t tell you.

3) Size - Check her size before you buy. Simple. Girls hate poorly fitting underwear and it will not get her into the mood, no matter how much you tell her that she looks great in it!

4) Style - Find out from her friends(yes they talk about this) what appeals to her. In the unlikely event that they don’t know, or don’t feel like helping you, look at the underwear she wears usually for guidelines. If you pick a style she likes, she’s more likely to wear it for you!

With these in mind, it’s easy to pick out something you’ll both enjoy and the options are limitless. You can even take your experimentation further, once you’ve bought your choice. I’m not going to go into all the countless possibilities here but, again, use your imagination. A french maid outfit is great for dancing…You could try putting a less skimpy type of lingerie over a tiny one and try for a strip tease…you get the drift…;)

Hopefully, you’re convinced of the endless fun possibilities of lingerie and are now dying for me to stop talking so you can get one. Go for it, remember the advice, and enjoy! =)

Lingerie: More than Just Bras and Panties

Thursday 6 August 2009 @ 9:17 pm

Let anyone who has been married, for any length of time, tell you. One of the things, that keep a couple’s sex life interesting, is lingerie - underwear, designed to be more attractive and alluring than their generic counterparts.

While it’s not easy to explain why we, as men, find lingerie to be so enticing, there’s no question of its great, sensual appeal and the refreshing effect it can have of spicing up, an otherwise boring, sex life.

There are, almost limitless, variations, and styles, of lingerie available. As people’s tastes differ, and new ideas spring up, styles emerge to tease and tickle our fancy(as guys) in newer ways. Let’s look at some of the styles.

First off, one of my personal favorites, the classic french maid outfit. While no-one seems to know what makes the idea of a french girl so sexy, it certainly has a wide fan base. Even in pop culture, related scenes often feature the customary, black and white, frilly outfit associated with this lingerie type. It might date back centuries to when french women were famously seen as the most attractive in the world.

The maid outfit, on the other hand, turns a lot of men on because of a domination fetish. Maids are hired to “serve” you, and so it creates this illusion when your partner wears the outfit. Whatever the technical reasons, this is, undoubtedly, one of the most popular lingerie types, and perhaps the oldest.

Next up, is the thong. This, smaller, variation of traditional women’s lower underwear has a simplistic design purpose - to be still more revealing. Thongs can further be sub-divided.

Some are translucent, some are so thin they are barely visible, and some are decorated with colorful frills that attract some men. Cosmetic, sexual appearance aside, for the most adventurous, some are edible. These are usually sweet flavored, as they are intended to be “eaten off” - for those couple’s who enjoy such kinky practices.

One more example, garter belts, actually have an original non-sexual purpose - to hold up stockings. They have, however, become a popular fetish due to the flexibility of how they can be used. These range from being worn solo, to attaching sexy stocking lingerie to the straps for an added turn on.

These are only a few of the many types of lingerie that have come up over the years. With each new fetish a new type can evolve, but they all have the same purpose - to make sex that much hotter which is so important, especially in a lasting relationship that could get boring otherwise.

Fantasies are what keep it interesting and lingerie is the perfect way to play these out. Incidentally, lingerie makes a great, sexy gift that you will both enjoy!

Who Says Large Bikini Briefs Aren’t Beautiful?

Wednesday 5 August 2009 @ 5:44 pm

Who says large bikini briefs aren’t beautiful? Those which cover your tummy are the perfect choice for women who prefer not to bear too much flesh to the world and yet still want to look stunning.

Retro swimwear is seeing a revival this summer, along with modern twists on fuller briefs which are the ideal choice for women who are very conscious of their stomach, more especially if their hips are larger than their bust. Flattering styles which suit a women’s body shape create a striking look which is balanced and simply oozes chic styling.

Women are also able to wear the very latest ‘miracle’ swimsuits which can drop at least one dress size instantly! Choosing the correct swimwear is basically the same as choosing your clothes, opt for those which flatter your best bits by drawing the eye towards them and away from the bits you are conscious about!

For example if you have lovely long legs opt for swimsuits which have high cut legs to make your legs appear endless! Those with a small bust can chose triangle handkerchief styles of bikini tops or opt for a full cup which makes their bust appear larger, padded bra cups which provide a push up and create cleavage are also a good choice.

Tankis offer the best of both worlds with short style bottom halves which are good for concealing a large tummy along with a long line top which enables a subtle divide between your top and bottom half. Be careful that you don’t create a spare tyre look with excess flesh easing it way through the gap between the two halves as that will only make you look larger!

For those are really uncomfortable walking around the poolside or beach in just their swimwear have some great choices of flattering cover ups to select from. Sarong skirts or beach dresses are easy to wear and look stylish. Team with jewelled flip flops and an armful of bangles to instantly transform your look for beach parties or simply lounging around in.

Remember to wear colours which flatter your skin tone and also enhance your body shape. Only opt for white swimwear if you have dark skin and be careful that they are not made of fabric which becomes transparent when wet!

If you wear plus size clothes make sure you select swimwear which supports your bust properly. Not only will this look far more chic it can also save from those embarrassing moments of jumping into the pool and leaving your top floating on the surface!

Ease Your Summer Wardrobe Into Autumn With Nature’s Colour Palette

Tuesday 4 August 2009 @ 11:38 am

Ethnic prints in gorgeous autumnal colours are a trendy way to gently ease your summer wardrobe into the cooler days of autumn.

Whilst many people have a wardrobe for each season with the recession and people’s spending power still struggling make the most of the clothes you have are a cost effective and fashionable way help you to remain at the forefront of fashion without having to spend a fortune.

Opt for colours which nature brings into autumn, muted oranges, soft greens, deep reds and gorgeous yellows. If blue is more your colour opt for the hues which nature’s autumnal skies bring, such a more subdued shades of blue rather than the bright blues of summer skies. Soft greys are also in-vogue this autumn and winter and look fantastic teamed with burgundy or soft pinks.

Hang onto your summer dresses and skirts and simply use gentle layering to help keep you warm. Add ankle or knee length boots, denim or leather jackets for a modern look which is bang up to date in the world of fashion.

Accessorise with chunky long bead necklaces and wide bangles made from natural wood. Alternatively you could opt for metallic colours such as bronze, copper and gold which also reflect the colours of autumn. If your legs are not naturally bronzed autumn is the time to start thinking of wearing tights or stockings. For those who hate either of these, and there are many women who do! Choose leggings in beautiful rich colours which contrast and compliment your skirt or dress, add ankle boots for a chic look.

Hang onto summer clothes as long as you can as they will make you feel warmer! Psychological it may be, but for many women it is the incentive and lift they need before resorting to thick jumpers, boots and trousers. Hope for an Indian summer as these warmer days will also lift your mood and your wardrobe!

Think of the beautiful colours from India, long floaty gypsy and peasant styles of skirts are ideal choices, along with maxi dresses to create a chic and elegant look for both formal and informal occasions.

Add geometric patterns to your ensemble to lift it from plain and ordinary into an eye catching and stunning look. Add belts to emphasise waist lines and sleeves with are mid-length or long to cover arms as this will also make you feel warmer! Pretty shrugs are also a good alternative for evenings as they provide an elegant look without bundling you up with chunky layers.

Remember if you wear plus size clothes the bulkier your clothing the larger you will appear, so keep to soft layering for a stunning look which emphasises your wonderful shape.

T-shirts For Blog Marketing

Sunday 2 August 2009 @ 10:01 pm

Using a T-shirt is a great way to advertise your service, business or something you are selling. Clothing has been used for advertising for nearly 100 years.

More recently, web site owners and people who have blogs have been designing T-shirts with their logos on them to help promote their web sites.

One way to do this is to create and then print your blogger T-shirts yourself. Once you do this, you’ll have dozens of shirts you can give away or sell, and we all know people will wear a free T-shirt. It’s an easy way to get your brand out there.

Not only can you advertise on the front of the shirt, but you can put logos, text or images on the back of the shirt as well. With a shirt, you can choose any message and display it to hundreds or thousands of people.

Think of all the events and gatherings you could wear a shirt to. Now imagine if you had several people wearing your shirt to all the different places they go. No wonder businesses like to give away free shirts!

If you want to begin advertising your blog on a shirt, here is some advice:

First of all, have shirts available in all sizes. Sometimes people give away all XL and XXL shirts thinking they will fit everyone. Not so, many people can only wear a small T-shirt or they look ridiculous.

You are probably better off printing all mediums and larges than XLs.

But the best thing to do is have shirts available in all sizes. Why would someone wear a shirt that doesn’t fit? A shirt the wrong size will sit in someone’s closet for years. You wants shirts available in all sizes for men, women and kids, too.

Try doing some long sleeved shirts and some short-sleeved shirts. That way people will have something to wear all year. If it’s winter and below zero, why would you give away a T-shirt? Make it long sleeved.

As far as color goes, white is generally the cheapest. But other colors will stand out more. And for a little more, you can get colored text or logos on the colored shirt. Get creative. When you print a bunch of shirts, the cost will go down anyway.

One way to get a discount is to ask the provider or T-shirt printing company to leave their logo on the shirt as well. That way, they will get free advertising with all of your shirts. If you do this, they will probably be happy to give you a discount on all of your shirts.

Pick a good material. You want the shirts to be comfortable, or people won’t wear them. Again, if no one is wearing your shirts, then you might as well not print any. If you would wear it, then others would probably also wear it.

Finally, get something creative to put on the shirt. It’s better to offend a few people and have the other half love it than to do something plain and boring down the center.

People like to make a statement with their own blogging T-shirts, so why not give them a statement?

There are many more ideas out there for T-shirt designing as advertisement. This is just to help you get started.

Do you have a T-shirt for your blog?

Funny T Shirt Designs Are Always in Style

Sunday 2 August 2009 @ 5:40 pm

Funny t shirt designs are made and designed differently these days than they were just a few years ago. The designs and quality have come a long way since they first become popular, most likely they will always remain in style.

Some years ago it was normal to go to the local department store and see that they would have different designs up on the wall for you to choose which one you wanted them to put on a t shirt. They would put it in one of those hot presses and what seemed to be a big iron transferred the shirt design you picked out onto the shirt. The shirt usually smelled very hot until the first time you washed it. It was a neat process and is still done today but not so much in the department stores.

I recently came across a booth at a local festival that had that same kind of hot press. You could choose from one of their designs and they would make it for you right there in their tent. The smell brought back some childhood memories. A lot of the funny designs they had were retro and vintage designs so it was quite fitting because they were using on older press like in the old days.

Nowadays, there are websites on the Internet that allow consumers to design their own t shirts and then have them printed and sent to their house. I wonder what happened to the times when you had to pay a set up fee and you had to order a certain number of shirts. Most of the t shirt companies now will print on demand as many or as little shirts as you want and they do not charge the set up fee of yesteryear. They also have some t shirt designs already made up for you to choose from, a lot of them have to do with funny sayings that have been heard in movies and TV shows.

Surprisingly, funny t shirt designs are still very affordable, in some instances you can get a funny shirt designed and shipped to you for what you might have paid in a department store several years ago. Some companies will even discount for buying more than one shirt or may offer free shipping. Of course if you want a very high quality t shirt design you will have to pay a little more.

Today funny t shirt designs are more popular than ever, many actors and actresses have been seen on TV shows wearing the same designs that you and I can purchase online. With t shirts being so popular there is almost an over abundance of them available in stores and websites from all over the world. With them being in style more than ever, there seems to be an endless array of designs on literally hundreds of different topics. From current news events to political views and from adorable tees for kids to offensive tees for adults; the selection is endless.

To say the least t shirts will probably always be in style and funny designs will probably always be put on them to make them more appealing. They are comfortable, affordable, more popular than ever, and are here to stay.

Find hundreds of funny t shirts online or contact Shane Hester at WebFirstCreations for a quality eCommerce Template .

Take Inspiration From Nature For Chic Clothing Styles This Autumn

Sunday 2 August 2009 @ 2:23 pm

Summer is not yet even over, yet already the shops are starting to change to autumn clothing! Fashion always moves fast and furiously and generally is always one a season in advance. To truly get the advantage when it comes to fashion you need to be doing the same, keeping your eyes a whole season ahead.

This will allow you to be truly prepared for each and every season, leaving your friends, colleagues and relatives jealous of how you just always seem to know what to wear and when. In truth it is really easy to do, but most women just do not do it!

So what is hot next this autumn? Well, somewhat surprisingly there are still a lot of colours similar to those from this year’s summer colour palette, they have just got deeper. The seaside blues have turned to deep blue greens, and the traditional beach sand yellow has muted and transformed in to a warm olive.

These two colours work so well together, giving a slight feeling of the beach without looking too bright and gaudy as the autumn starts to fade toward winter. These work great either as complimentary colours on the same piece of clothing, or as separate pieces of clothing such as a majolica blue skirt with a rich olive yellow top.

Red is still very much in, as it has been for most of this year in fact. Again it has got darker and deeper in tone, now in a rather stunning and sultry American Beauty red. This is a fantastic colour for party wear, as it will help you stand out of the crowd without looking out of place. It will also help boost your natural confidence, as red is a colour that makes us feel braver and more attractive.

For more neutral and daytime wear colours there are still beige, which have not really gotten darker from summer, as this summer’s beige and creams were fairly dark to begin with. Creme Brulee wide leg trousers are great for relaxing around the home and if combined with a blouse look gorgeous enough to wear almost all the time.

Truth be told, if you stick to pastel colours this autumn you really can’t go wrong. Just avoid any overpowering tones or hues. Avoid any unnatural colours. Take inspiration from nature, with pale greens, blues, browns and beige all which are very much the upcoming colours of autumn and look great on women who wear plus size clothing.

Fabulous Hosiery To Take Your Outfits Through Into Autumn and Winter

Friday 31 July 2009 @ 5:24 pm

Although in theory summer has not ended in the UK most of the high street and online retailers are already preparing for autumn by introducing their new clothing ranges.

This is not really surprising as the clothing retailers are always one season ahead which gives the opportunity to be well prepared and have suitable attire for when the cooler days begin in earnest! One of the easiest ways to extend your summer wardrobe into the cooler autumnal days is to add coloured tights to your outfits.

Using contrasting colours is a great way live up outfits for both work and informal wear. Purple, red, blue, green and yellow as well as the usual black and brown means that you have some fabulous colours to choose from to team with both dresses and skirts. As the days become chillier you can quite simply increase the thickness, denier, of the tights and add a coordinating cardigan or jumper for a chic and stylish look.

Another great advantage to coloured and patterned tights is that you do not have to resort to trousers to keep your legs warm! Women who have a large tummy can also opt for tights which have control panels to help provide a sleek silhouette when wearing dresses made from clingy fabrics such as jersey or knitted dresses. Alternatively teamed with skirts of different lengths is a great way to mix and match your wardrobe.

Coloured tights look great with court styled shoes, ankle and knee lengths boots as well as trendy when worn with shoes with a covered toe and ankle straps. Moreover, you don’t have to stick with plain coloured tights for younger women, or those who are young at heart can opt for tartan or argyle patterns. Whilst the more adventurous women can choose from some great patterns and colours to really draw attention to their legs and stand out from the crowd!

You should also apply the same principles when choosing the appropriate colour of tights. For example a black dress and patent court shoes look stunning when teamed with purple tights, add a toning purple cardigan or accessories and this look will brighten up work wear in an unobtrusive yet fashionable way.

When coordinating with a patterned or floral dress or skirt you can simply select a colour which is incorporated within the pattern for a chic and stylish look. Women who wear plus size lingerie will be glad to know that many retailers who specialise in large womens clothing also have a wide range of coloured tights and hosiery in plus sizes to suit all body shapes for women of all ages.
