Little Known Domestic Cleaning Details

Tuesday 31 March 2009 @ 11:51 pm

Domestic cleaning also referred as Housecleaning. Which carries a systematic process of cleaning your home from dust or whatsoever making your house dirty and untidy, the process of domestic cleaning can be applied more broadly than just to an individual or home, or as a metaphor for a similar “clean up” process applied elsewhere such as a procedural reform.

In the process of housecleaning general cleaning activities are completed, such as disposing of rubbish, storing of belongings in regular places, cleaning dirty surfaces, dusting and vacuuming.

There are many reasons for domestic cleaning which look simple but are complicated, many writers have written numerous books and one can find articles on websites relating to domestic cleaning. Tools include the vacuum cleaner, broom and mop.

Supplies such as cleaning solutions and sponges are sold in grocery stores and elsewhere.

One can carry on this activity alone with the help of your family or hire a professional cleaner who can carry some specialist tasks such as cleaning blinds, rugs, and sofas. Professional services are also offered for the basic tasks. It is better to hire a specialist who can carry on this activity for you as many of the cleaning products are toxic which should be handled in a proper manner.

Some cleaning tasks are physically demanding. “Green cleaning” refers to cleaning without causing pollution. The history of housecleaning has links to the advancement of technology.

Experts are categorized or have different names; few of them are listed here. Cleaner is a type of industrial or domestic worker who cleans homes or offices for payment.

Unlike other servants, their primary task is just cleaning, except by personal arrangement. Cleaners may also be specialized according to the type of task they perform, such as window cleaners.

Second is domestic worker who works, and often also lives, within the employer’s household. He or she not only carry the regular activity of cleaning but also perform some other activities like cooking, washing, ironing, taking care of your children etc,. These workers often come from middle class and usually work in large households.

There are different tools used in domestic cleaning like: Brooms remove debris from floors. Brushes clean cracks and crevices. Buckets hold cleaning and rinsing solutions. Carpet sweepers remove surface dust and debris. Chamois do lint-free drying of windows. Clotheslines hold doormats and rugs for cleaning. Clothespins fasten things on clotheslines.

Dishwashers are machines that wash dishes placed inside them. Dryers dry textiles placed inside them. Dusters are soft cloths for wiping dust, or are various dust sweepers. Dustpans carry dust and debris swept into them. Floor machines remove and apply floor finish. Rubber gloves protect hands from dish water and other cleaners.

Dust mops remove dust from smooth floors. Wet mops are for washing floors. Paper towels wipe up grease and other materials difficult to rinse from a cloth.

Polishing cloths are for applying polish and removing excess polish. Sponges apply cleaning solution and remove soil. Spray bottles apply cleaning solution to be removed by another tool. Squeegees remove solutions from glass. Steam cleaners are machines that help wash carpet. Vacuum cleaners remove dust from inside carpet. Upright vacuums are best at carpet vacuuming.

Canister vacuums are best at upholstery and bare floors. Wet-dry vacuums can be used to remove spills and spot removers. Washing machines clean textiles such as dust cloths.

If You Are What You Eat, What Are YOU?

Tuesday 31 March 2009 @ 11:51 pm

Have you ever thought that while you were enjoying that juicy red apple, you could also be adding a mouthful of pesticides with it into your body?

This may surprise and even worry you that non-organic fruits and vegetables contain chemicals potentially harmful to human body. You might even argue that before eating fruits and vegetables you wash them thoroughly with lots of water. However, the truth is that by washing and rinsing will reduce the levels of pesticides in fruits and vegetables, though it will never remove them completely.

What to do then? It is time to go organic. You need to buy organic produce whenever possible, to reduce your exposure to pesticides which are harmful to the human body.

What Are The Dangers Of Non Organic Fruits And Vegetables?

Pesticides are chemicals used to kill insects or plant infections at the time of producing. If these pesticides are strong enough to kill insects and other infections in plants, it should not sound surprising that it can badly affect the human body as well as the environment.

Non organic produce contain hundreds of permitted pesticides, hormones, fungicides, insecticides and other such chemical additives.

Don’t forget the food additives and flavoring agents used in food processing too.

Still need more reasons to switch from non-organic to organic?

However, organic produce are quite costly which make them unaffordable to many.

What Is The Solution?

If the cost of organic products concerns and you can not afford to have all organic fruits and vegetables, there is some good news for you. Some non organic fruits and vegetables have significantly higher amount of pesticides than others. If you avoid eating such pesticides-rich produce, you will greatly be adding fewer amounts of toxins in your body.

There are two ways to go about it.

Either avoid these pesticides-rich fruits and vegetables or switch to organic variants of these produce. Some of the riskiest non-organic foods include apples, celery, bell papers, pears, peaches, potatoes, spinach, cherries, grapes and strawberries.

There is also a group of least contaminated or the most cleanest non-organic foods that include bananas, cauliflower, avocados, kiwi fruit, mangoes, onions, pineapples and papaya.

Studies suggest that eating the ‘pesticides-rich’ foods will on an average add around different 15 pesticides per day into a human body, while eating from the list of least contaminated foods will on an average add just about two pesticides per day, that too in much smaller concentrations.

My advice to is to wash all non-organic fruits and vegetables thoroughly and choose organic variants of these foods (prioritize the organic versions of pesticides-rich) whenever possible.

This will greatly reduce your exposure to potentially harmful pesticides, though remember, washing is no real substitute for eating foods that have been grown from seed to harvest in the absence of pesticides.

How to Become a Plastic Surgeon

Tuesday 31 March 2009 @ 11:50 pm

Plastic surgery is an exciting and rewarding field, one that many surgeons are glad they entered. But becoming a plastic surgeon isn’t easy nor is it a short process. If you are interested in becoming a plastic surgeon, you must investigate the field thoroughly and start your efforts as early as high school.

When in high school you need to working hard in school, taking advanced classes, earning good grades (all A’s and B’s), and getting involved in extra-curricular activities and community service. All of these factors along with a good SAT or ACT test score will help you qualify for acceptance into a good college or university.

While in college it is best if you select a major such as biology or a specific pre-med major where all of the basic science classes necessary for medical school are included. College is a fun time, but if you’re serious about a profession in cosmetic surgery you need to be diligent in your studies and earn competitive grades, especially in your science classes.

Medical schools weigh your science GPA very heavily along with your Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) scores. The MCAT is a broad test meant to assess your knowledge in many subjects with a substantial emphasis on the sciences. It is important to prepare well for the test. It is also important to start researching medical schools early on in your college career and learn all the requirements needed for acceptance to each institution.

At the end of your junior year, you will need to start applying to medical schools and it is wise to apply to more than one. In fact, it is not uncommon to apply to at least ten institutions. Applying to more schools gives you a better probability of being accepted to at least one institution. It does cost more to apply to more schools, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

During your senior year you should start to hear from schools and will be invited to tour the institutions and interview with the admissions committee. These interviews are a good time to ask questions about the school’s cosmetic surgery program or connections. You will also need to decide which kind of philosophy best suits you, schools that will make you a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) or a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) Both types of doctors enjoy the same rights and privileges.

Hopefully you will be accepted to at least one medical school and at this point you will probably feel very relieved because you are definitely on track for achieving your dreams. But the trek is definitely not over. You will need to complete your third year rotations and will need to pick a specialty.

Rotations give you a good opportunity to see if you really like plastic surgery or if there is another area of medicine that interests you more. Other ways to give you a taste of plastic surgery include serving an externship with a plastic surgeon and investigating the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Following medical school you will need to complete your residency which may be 3 years of general surgery followed by 3 more years of plastic surgery. There are also integrated models that combine the two into 6-7 year programs and give you all the surgical training necessary.

Every program is different, and you will have to go through the residency matching process to select and be selected for a plastic surgery program. The matching process essentially works like this: the student makes a list of their top residency choices and the schools/hospitals make a list of their top students and matches are made.

You will have to make job arrangements during your last year of residency and complete all the requirements of the board of certification before you begin working. If you can make it through this long and challenging process, you will at last be able to enjoy the rewarding career of plastic surgery.

Do I Need a Tummy Tuck And How Will It Benefit Me?

Tuesday 31 March 2009 @ 11:49 pm

Many people have rounder, looser tummies than they would like to have. This can be the result of pregnancy that separates and weakens the abdominal muscles, or it could the byproduct of massive weight loss. In some cases it may simply be attributable to age or genetics.

If you fall into any of these categories, you may be a great candidate for a tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty. Here are several ways to know whether you need a tummy tuck or not.

You might need a tummy tuck if:

You are in generally good physical health and condition, with some stubborn pockets of fat hanging around your middle, despite a consistent practice of regular exercise and a balanced diet. An abdominoplasty may be the only way to get rid of that accursed fat! Just understand that without maintaining a healthy lifestyle after the abdominoplasty surgery, it is possible for the fatty deposits to return and haunt your daily living again.

Your belly sticks out and does not fit proportionally with your figure. A tummy tuck is a great way to pull in those sagging ab muscles and create a slimmer, more appropriately balanced physique. This is done as the plastic surgeon makes an incision along from the pubic bone up to the hip bones, gently loosens the stomach skin from the underlying tissues, and sutures the abs tighter together.

Liposuction can also be performed on the region at the same time as needed or desired. The skin is then pulled down tightly, the excess is cut off and the remaining skin is sewn back together at the original incision.

You have had multiple pregnancies. It is easier to get your body back (for most women) after the first baby, than it is after subsequent pregnancies. The ab muscles get continually looser and weaker. An abdominoplasty can reverse the effects of those pregnancies on your belly, recreating once again a flatter, tighter stomach region.

You have lots of loose, sagging skin in your abdominal area. Today, this is commonly as a result of losing a massive amount of weight, roughly 100 pounds or more. While the fat and tissues under the skin contract and shrink, the skin itself has often lost some of its natural elasticity after years of being stretched to capacity.

Think of a rubber band that has been stretched out for months. Once you unwind it from its position, it will not shrink back down to its original circumference. The same is true of your skin. An abdominoplasty can help you complete the appearance you have coveted during your weight loss period by eliminating all the extra, hanging, unsightly skin.

You have realistic expectations about the results. While abdominoplasty surgery can create a much more aesthetically pleasing look, it is not an exact science and will not produce the airbrushed super-model abs you see in the magazines. It is important to have a healthy projection of what your surgery procedure can do for you.

There may be other good reasons that you might be an ideal candidate for a tummy tuck, but a consultation with a local plastic surgeon specializing in abdominoplasty can help you figure out whether or not you fit the bill for a tummy tuck procedure.

Who is an ideal candidate for Tummy Tuck?

If you have good general health but have large fat deposits and loose skin despite exercising, if you have had multiple pregnancies which have left stretch marks on your abdomen, if you have lost an enormous amount of weight recently, then you are an ideal candidate for abdominoplasty.

Who is not an ideal candidate for Tummy Tuck?

If you are planning on having children or losing more weight then you are not an ideal candidate for abdominoplasty surgery.

Remove excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tighten abdominal muscles with a tummy tuck. Hagerstown cosmetic surgeon offers terrific results to his patients and can perform either a full or mini-tummy tuck. To discuss your surgical options with him, visit www.plasticsurgeryservices.net.

What Is A Medical Spa And How Do I Choose The Best One?

Tuesday 31 March 2009 @ 11:49 pm

What is a medical spa and how is it different than a day center? A medical spa is essentially the same as a day spa with the primary difference being that it operates under the supervision of a licensed health care professional. These centers may offer procedures that can only be administered by a licensed medical practitioner or treat facial and body conditions that cannot be treated by estheticians alone.

Here’s a quick overview of medical spa services. In general these services include:
* Laser and IPL (intense pulsed light) procedures
* Medical mircrodermabrasions
* Photofacials
* Botox and restylane injections and other fillers
* Medical peels and skin tightening

Most of these centers are designed to enhance outer beauty and inner wellness. They attempt to do this by providing a safe, relaxing, and aesthetically pleasing environment just like the day spas. However patients have reported that medical spas often do not feel as relaxing as day spas but more like a medical clinic.

The supervising doctors may be practitioners of internal medicine, family practice, dermatology, plastic surgery, chiropractics, doctors of naturopathic medicine, or doctors of another specialty. Often medical spas are made up of a combination of doctors with many of these specialties.

Larger medical spas with a wide range of specialties allow them to offer additional services including acupuncture, nutrition counseling, massage therapy, dermatology, exercise training, stress management, and weight loss assistance.

Some medical spas are much smaller in scale and may, for example, be a spa attached to the practice of an individual plastic surgeon looking to sell more to his patients working on their appearance. Whatever size or style of wellness center you choose, make sure to use common sense and use good judgment when considering doctors’ advice. People tend to give more credence to doctors’ suggestions when in reality they may just be making a sale rather than prescribing a completely necessary procedure.

Another piece of advice when selecting your center: check to see if the medical practitioner will really be overseeing the procedure. Regulations vary from state to state; some require the doctor to be onsite and overseeing each of the actual procedures, but other states do not even require the doctors to be on the premises. In some situations, doctors just lend their name to the institution and collect a percentage of the profits.

You should also research the techniques and the equipment that each wellness resort uses. The equipment in the medical spa industry is always improving and changing and you will want to make sure that you choose the spa that utilizes the latest and greatest technology. Choosing such a center will make it more likely that you will receive the least painful treatments possible.

But remember that the latest technology comes with a high price. Medical spa treatments and packages can be very expensive but that is because the machinery and the equipment itself, is very expensive. Keep this in mind when considering how much you will pay for medical spa services.

Now you can get all the benefits of cosmetic surgery in the relaxing surroundings of a medical spa. Murrieta, California center offers the latest in both cosmetic and aesthetic treatments in one convenient location. Visit them at www.renuance.net to find out more.

Male Breast Reduction: Overcome Your Embarrassment With Plastic Surgery

Tuesday 31 March 2009 @ 11:47 pm

Larger breasts-isn’t that all the rage today? Isn’t that what every one desires? Well, not if you happen to be of the male gender. In fact, overly large breasts can be a source of great shame and ridicule for many men. This condition, medically referred to as gynecomastia, is actually quite common, affecting roughly half of all males.

And while most teens who experience this issue will grow out of it, there are still plenty who won’t and these are left to fear going shirtless for sports and water recreation. Fortunately, there is a plastic surgery procedure-male breast reduction - that can cure men of this confidence-destroying condition.

The Procedure

Before the male breast reduction procedure is performed, most plastic surgeons will call for a mammogram, or breast x-ray to rule out the possibility of cancer as the cause of the enlarged breasts. Once it is determined that there are no cancerous regions, the male breast procedure can proceed as normal.

After applying either general or local anesthesia, the plastic surgeon will make an incision around the edge of the areola or even in the under arm, in order to create, small, inconspicuous scars. The surgeon will then break up the excess fatty tissues and remove them through the tiny incisions. This includes extra glandular tissue, fat, and skin from all around the breasts.

In some cases, men also have liposuction performed at this point in the male breast reduction to achieve an even slimmer, sculpted look. The liposuction takes place as the cannula tube is inserted in the incisions and vacuums out unwanted fat.

After the fat is removed, the incisions are closed and the plastic surgeon may insert small drainage tube in the breasts to allow the excess fluids from the breasts and the surgery to easily drain out. These tubes will be removed after a day or two.

The male breast reduction incisions will be immediately covered with bandages and the entire chest will be wrapped in a compression garment to aid in the healing process and keep the breast skin in the proper position.

The Recovery

The most common side-effects of male breast reduction surgery include swelling, bruising, and pain. The bruising and pain will be significantly reduced several days after the surgery, but the swelling may take up to three months to completely subside. The pressure garment will help with the swelling and can be worn at night after it is no longer needed during the day.

It is possible that patients can be back to work after just a few days post surgery, but rest is generally recommended for at least a day. Strenuous exercise and activity will be restricted for three weeks or more, and patients are advised to keep their healing scars out of the sun for six months in order to prevent unsightly pigmentation.

Male breast reduction surgery is a quick and safe procedure that can significantly improve the quality of a man’s life and boost his self-confidence in social and other settings.

San Francisco breast reduction surgeon can help males with enlarged breasts or gynecomastia get a more manly physique, improve their quality of life and boost their self-confidence. Visit the site at www.drkim.com to watch educational videos and learn about this procedure.

3 Sneaky Striped Bass Fishing Techniques

Tuesday 31 March 2009 @ 11:47 pm

Striped Bass are a fish that can be extremely rewarding to catch. Using the proper Bass Fishing techniques is necessary if you want to be successful every time you fish for sneaky striped bass. Striped best fishing is the most lucrative in the mid summer because of the warm weather.

Striped bass love warm weather so it makes sense that it would be easy to fish for them during the summer months. In the northeast, the summer is the only time of year where it is warm enough to fish for striped bass. During these months striped bass will be out in large numbers allowing you to catch a large quantity of fish. There are some sneaky striped bass fishing techniques that will allow you to have the advantage over other fishermen.

During the summer months you will be competing with tons of other fishermen for striped bass. Fishing for striped bass is all about being territorial. The best way to do this is to find a spot that many other people aren’t fishing in.

This can be difficult, but if you are sneaky you will be able to do it. Another approach is to get to a popular fishing spot early in the morning before most people head out. If you are the first fisherman out you will be able to claim your spot early and get ahead of the game.

It is also extremely important to make sure that you do not disturb the fish. If you disturb the striped bass fish then you will instantly scare them away. Many novice fishermen do not understand this fact and they fail extremely quickly.

Many boat motors are too loud and they result in scaring striped bass away from the area that you are fishing in. The best way to ensure that you do not scare fish away is to turn your motor down to the lowest speed. This will reduce the amount of sound that your motor creates. In turn, this will allow you to sneakily approach the striped bass without them knowing.

If you really want an extraordinary fishing experience you might even want to take out some oars with you on your motor boat. This will allow you to steer your boat when the motor is off and approach striped bass colonies like a stealth bomber! This is not for the light hearted because it does require quite a bit of work. Yet, many fishermen who use this tactic have the upper hand over fishermen that use traditional motor boats.

Using proper technique for catching striped bass is also important. There is a sneaky when that you can cast your line that allows you to trick striped bass. It involves casting your line far in front of the path of the striped bass. The reason for this is that you want to cast your line in front of the fish. This ensures that the fish will see your bait.

Many novice fishermen cast their line behind striped bass which does them no good. This is a bad idea because it puts the bait out of the line of site of the striped bass.

How To Use The Top 3 White Bass Fishing Lures

Tuesday 31 March 2009 @ 11:46 pm

Fishing for bass can be extremely lucrative if you use the right type of fishing lures. There are several different types of fishing lures out there. In general, you want to choose a fishing lure that looks similar to an actual bug o fish.

Bass fish generally like to eat smaller fish as well as several types of small bugs and insects. Therefore, you are going to want to pick a fishing lure that looks just like a bug, fish, or insect. The top three types of fishing lures include lures that look like sea herring, insects, and bugs. It is extremely important to understand how to use these three types of fishing lures and how to know which ones are the best.

Many novice fishermen believe that all lures were created equal. The fact of the matter is that some fishing lures are significantly better than other lures. When deciding on which fishing lure to pick there are several things to consider. First, you will want to consider how realistic the lure is that you are considering buying. If the lure does not look realistic to you, it probably will not look realistic to the fish.

When fishing for White Bass you will want to research which foods they like to eat. In general, white bass like to eat fish that are smaller than themselves. They also like to eat many small insects and bugs in the water. If you do an online search you can print out pictures of these bugs and smaller fish and bring it with you to the tackle shop. This will allow you to compare the live fish to the different types of tackle that the store may have.

The fact of the matter is that fish are smarter than a lot of people think. Many novice fishermen make the mistake of underestimating the intelligence of the average fish. Many fish are aware of the fact that you are trying to catch them.

The reason for this is that many fishermen have tried to catch them in the past. Some fish may have been hooked before, but gotten away and survived. This results in the fish learning from past mistakes and being more careful when eating food.

It is also important to have a tackle box to organize all of your lures when you are on a fishing trip. The reason for this is that you want to be able to access your different tackles as quickly as possible. If you do not organize your different types of tackle in a box you ill quickly find yourself confused when looking for a specific type of tackle. Tackle boxes are extremely affordable and can be found at any local bait shop.

The best types of white bass fishing lures are the ones that have multiple hooks for bait on them. Some lures only have one spot where you can attach a piece of bait. Other lures have multiple hooks which allows you to attach more than one piece of bait. If you attach more bait you will be able to attract tons of fish to your fishing boat.
