Is your book introduction designed to seal the sale? Probably not; many open a book to read, see an introduction, yawn, think boring and turn the page. Why, because authors, including myself, have treated the introduction as only a ‘why I wrote the book’ page.
Most people don’t care as much about ‘why you wrote the book’ as they do about ‘how your book can help them.’ Here’s a refreshing twist to the old boring book introduction. Write your next book introduction as a sales tool. Include all the same elements but add benefits that engage your reader.
Show your reader what they’ll get if they follow the instructions in the book and just importantly let them know where they’ll end up if they don’t. Describe the increased finances, the better health or the healthy relationships.
Think about it; people want to know most how your book will help them, teach them and inspire them. Continue to hook your potential readers with a sizzling title and back cover. Now take the next step to seal the sale with your book introduction. Write it as a short note to your readers engaging them with the benefits they will receive. To write your book introduction as a sizzling sales tool, it must include the following:
1. Hook. Use the same element journalist and professional writers use, the hook. Develop your hook from a shocking fact, statistic or relevant quote. Even better, solve your audience’s top challenge. Answer their top question, “Why should I buy your book?” Make your opening statements short but enticing.
2. Connection. Seek to connect with your audience in your introduction. Describe your audience’s challenge. Describe where they are now and why they haven’t succeeded yet. Mention why you wrote the book. End the paragraph with a general statement about how your book will benefit them (thesis statement).
3. Benefits. In the following paragraphs, keep answering the foremost question in your potential readers’ mind, “Why should I buy your book?” Continue to engage them with the overall benefits of increased communication, good fortune, finances or health. Sprinkle in some specific benefits. For example, an author friend of mine writes in, “‘Article Speedway’ Discover how to write short easy articles fast and put your internet marketing in the fast lane to sales.”
4. Format. Every good non-fiction book should display a format to give the audience an idea of what to expect inside. The table of contents offer a general format and direction. In your book introduction include what features will help your audience in each chapter. For example, most chapter formats include a hook, thesis followed by how tos, tips, engagement tools, story then summary.
5. Invitation. Summarize with 1-2 sentences. Include an enthusiastic invitation to read the book. For example, one of my favorite authors invites her readers into the text with a warm, “Come journey with me through”
If you don’t use the above principles, you may never enjoy the level of sales your book deserves. On the other hand, write a sizzling introduction with the hook, the connection, the benefits, the format, the invitation and fill your readers with expectation of what your book can do for them. Get this right and expect them to pull out their card, swipe and purchase your book on the spot. Now go ahead sizzle your introduction and sell more books than you could ask, dream or think.

Why do people buy non-fiction books? Most readers buy books to solve problems or help with fulfilling a need.
Because I wanted to hear from several authorities on the subject, I picked up another book by Nido R. Qubein, “How to Be a Great Communicator: In Person on Paper, and on the Podium.” His cover design was white with clean lines and a personable picture of him on the front. His style of writing was not as easy to read but it still went in my purchase basket as well. Which brings us back to my original point; people buy non-fiction books to solve problems. To identify your targeted market, pinpoint a problem they have and the solution of course.
Problems come in all shapes and sizes. Usually a general category problem applies to all types of markets.
1. Hobbies. Is your tennis game, golf game, bridge game as good as you’d like? Are you considering taking up horse-back riding? Want to improve your computer skills? What ever the case may be, your desire to improve or change your level of performance is considered the problem.
2. Health. The first thing you do when your doctor diagnose your cholesterol is high and you need to lose 20 pounds. You go look for a book that will walk you through step by step to lose weight or lower cholesterol. You turn to someone that has solved the problem to learn from their experience.
3. Mental State. Are you feeling stressful about the economy? Are you noticing unexplained physical symptoms possibly related to stress? Once again, you have a problem and you are looking for a solution in book form. Someone who has outlined easy steps or ways to de-stress in our society.
4. Personal Finance. Worried about lay-offs, down-sizing, retirement? Books that offer financial solutions to economic problems during shaky times are guaranteed to succeed.
5. Marketing. We live in a competitive society. Small business owners and managers everywhere need a growing database of customers and clients. Therefore, they seek out how to books that offers solutions on improving their advertising copy, improving their business image or their website.
Each of the problem categories describes a problem and a need for a solution. The main goal of your marketing plan is to identify the problem your book solves and then present the solution. The more intense the problem and the easier you can make your solution, the more readers will seek out your book.
Your task becomes to re-structure your knowledge into bite-size reader solutions. Appeal to the masses, by letting them know what’s in it for them and how easy the solution is with your book. For example, let’s consider the book title I mentioned earlier about speaking. The title could have been: “How to Overcome Your Fear of Speaking” instead of “7 Steps to Fearless Speaking” The latter is more appealing because it alludes to only 7 steps to my solution.
Don’t put it off any longer. If you wait, you can be this time next year without fulfilling your dream of writing a successful book. You have the solution. Now write it down. While you’re at use the tips above and write a book that sells well. Make it different. Make it count. Make it yours.

When the facial aging process begins to take place and the face is sometimes out of harmony with the eyelids or forehead, some patients become self-conscious. And when patients state that they look older than they truly feel or their friends tell them that they look tired and not well rested, a facelift or a neck lift is performed. The face/neck lift is a very popular procedure done frequently in the United States and it is in the top 1/3 in popularity of all cosmetic procedures performed on the face.
The facelift is done for cosmetic reasons, and it is a procedure that is done on the face and neck to rejuvenate the face. This procedure tightens up lax facial skin, neck skin and muscles, jowls, and addresses neck fat as well. It also tightens the muscles in the face, the posterior portion of the neck and the front portion of the neck. Excess skin is removed around the ears and fat is removed underneath the neck.
There are three components that are addressed with a facelift. The first one is the fat in the neck, which is removed with both direct and indirect liposuction and fat sculpting. The second component is muscle, which is tightened underneath the neck to redefine the jaw line, tighten behind the jaw line to accentuate the posterior portion of the jaw line, and it is tightened up at the cheek area to lift the jowls. The third component is excess skin. Once the muscles have been tightened and the fat has been removed, there is usually excess skin that has to be trimmed in a very conservative fashion.
All three of these components must be addressed to have a very natural and good looking symmetrical facelift. Most close family members and friends do not even recognize the fact that a patient has had a face or neck lift. They just look more well rested, refreshed, and look as though they have lost weight. The weight loss appearance comes from the removal of fat in the neck.
There are different types of facelifts that are performed. There is a traditional facelift, which addresses a full face and neck lift. This addresses facial skin laxity, the jowls and all of the neck fat and laxity of the muscles in the neck. There is also a mini lift, which is done for simple facial laxity to lift the jowls only and does not address the neck area.
This is typically done on younger patients less than 50 years old who just have jowling but have an adequate jaw neck line. There is also a neck lift alone, which can usually be done on patients who are less than 50 years old, to address only neck fat and redefine the jaw line, but it does nothing for the jowls and facial laxity.

Renovating your home to be more green can have as much to do with style and status as it does with cost savings. There are many simple things one can do to save money on their energy and repair bills while concurrently helping the environment.
Up until recently greening your home has required you to sacrifice either cost savings or design functionality. Luckily for us, as the industry matures costs have fallen and a plethora of new designs have flooded the marketplace.
Thanks to these new developments we no longer need to feel awkward when explaining to our friends why our roof has been converted into a blindingly shiny solar panel. We can now say that we are being frugal and responsible during these tough economic times and the environmental benefits are extra.
While replacing your roof with a solar panel is not cost effective as of yet, there are still many different things you can do to green your home. One of the easiest ways is to change out your old incandescent light bulbs for new florescent ones.
While the new light bulbs can cost up to four times as much as the old ones, they use approximately 2/3 less energy and last ten times longer. By replacing your light bulbs as they burn out your home should be fully converted within a year.
Another way to cut costs is to invest in energy efficient appliances. The new appliances combine functionality with a sleek design.
New refrigerators can use over 50% less energy than those bought over a decade ago and new washing machines can use up to 75% less energy and only half as much water. You can recognize savings of over $100 per year for each different appliance.
Using renewable materials in your flooring and cabinetry can add a look of flair and cost savings.
Bamboo and cork flooring costs much less than other flooring materials and comes in many different colors and styles so you can customize to your desire. These materials can also be used in cabinets, creating an exotic look while at the same time preserving our forests.
Perhaps the easiest thing to do to make your home more green is to pay extra attention to the small stuff that gets overlooked in your electricity bill, like turning the lights off in the room when you leave, turning the TV off when you are not watching it, and unplugging the coffee maker when you are done.
Also, keeping doors and windows closed when you are running the air conditioner or heater can create tremendous cost savings. You should also check and make sure your doors and windows are sealed properly.
Poor insulation causes your air conditioner and heater to work harder and thus use more electricity. A recent study showed that these little changes can result in a 6% - 20% reduction in your electric bill each month.
Please, do not rush out and green your home after immediately reading this article. By paying attention to the small things now, like turning off unnecessary energy using fixtures, and replacing appliances and lights when necessary you can realize drastically lower energy costs and brag to your friends about how fiscally responsible you are.
Your trendsetting mentality will soon be envied and copied by all your friends.

One of the most common areas of concern for people is the lower body, specifically the butt, hips and thighs. Today learn what the best exercise is to get your sexy back in your lower half
As a fitness trainer, owner of a fitness facility, and being the fanatical sports performance and fitness junkie I am, I get a lot of questions regarding sports training, fitness, weight loss…
And the typical question I often get asked is as follows
“What exercises are best for ______” fill in the blank.
You name it I’ve heard my chest, arms, abs, the list goes on, but there is one body part I commonly get asked and it’s the thighs or should I say the hip, buns, and thighs. I used to get asked this question and immediately find myself going into a long winded text book answer that no-one really understood or cared about. Now days I answer a lot differently. Here is how it usually goes,
“What are the best exercises for my butt, hips and thighs?”
I now answer with one word;
“WHY”
I say why because not everybody has the same goals. One may ask because they want to be faster or bigger. However, the reason is mostly a fat loss or aesthetic issue, particularly in the butt, hip and thigh area.
So that’s what I’ll cover today. I’ll give you my best attempt to answer the commonly asked “What is The Best Exercise for the butt, hips, and thighs?”
Actually I’m lying! I can’t honestly answer this question, and for physiological reasons (I’ll explain in a minute). So I’ll give you my top 5 plan for trimmed hips, a sexy butt, and muscular thighs (a feminine muscular ladies
I can’t give you one exercise that will be best for your hips, your butt and your thighs due to the fact that although these muscles work synergistically with one another, physiologically they are really opposing muscle groups.
OK, let’s get into a quick anatomy lesson.
Most people tend to think that you can do one exercise for your lower body and hit all areas of your legs. Well, these people are misinformed. In reality, yes when you do any type of lower body exercise you will work all of the muscle groups in your legs. However, certain movements emphasize specific areas of your lower body. For example, a squat is more of a quad dominant exercise and a deadlift is more of a
Hip (butt) & hamstring dominant exercise.
With our quick little anatomy lesson hopefully you now realize that it’s quite hard to provide one answer that would cover our 3 part question (butt, hips and thighs). However, there are some little tricks up my sleeves that may give you an edge in terms of getting a sexy lower half.
I call them the big bang for your buck exercises, and in this case they are all lower body oriented. I say big bang for your buck exercises because, these exercises are multi joint, burn more calories (something we’ll need to do to achieve our sexy legs goal), and the sure rev up your metabolism.
So here are my top 4 exercises for a sexy lower body;
1.) DB front Squat - Take 2 dumbbells & rest them on your shoulders with your feet about shoulder width apart. Now push your butt back and sit 90% of your weight onto your heels and drop down into a deep (top of thigh below parallel) squat. Now push though your heels and stand back up. It’s important to keep your torso as upright as possible throughout the movement.
2.) Pitcher Squat - Stand in front of a bench facing out, with one leg elevated on the bench, and the other foot about 2 feet in front of you (think Lunge position with one foot on bench). While keeping your torso upright and 90% of the weight on the front foots heel, drop into a deep lunge by lowering your hips and bending both knees straight down towards the floor. Pause for a second, then push through the heel of the front foot bringing you back into the starting position.
3.) Romanian Dead Lift - Stand straight up with a dumbbell in each hand at your sides. Start by bending forward at your waist keeping your back flat, push your butt back and slide the dumbbells down to your sides. Then squeeze your butt and stand straight up.
4.) SL Deadlift - Stand with dumbbells or a bar at your waist with one leg bent so the shin is parallel to the floor. Now bend at your waist, drop your hips down while bending your knee moving the weight towards the ground and keeping your back straight. Push through the heel of the down foot and stand straight up.
I would recommend cycling these exercises in phases of doing 2 - 4 weeks of 2-4 sets of 10-15 reps each, then 2 - 4 weeks of 4-8 reps.
And if you really want to rev it up - perform them all as a circuit (one done right after another) for the prescribed reps.
So in a nut shell, you didn’t get just my favorite leg exercise. You got my top 4, plus a nice 8 week program on how to utilize them effectively in order to achieve a sexy firm and toned lower body.

When searching for quality web hosting services, try and find one that does not believe in placing limits on what you can do with the business website or what limits it places on the services that are offered. Those that confuse bandwidth and data transfer are the first web hosting services that should be weeded out. Bandwidth rates and data transfer rates are different. Each web service attribute will affect each business differently. Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be transferred on a monthly basis. If the web hosting service places a limit in this area, then it is time to look for one that poses no limits, because they are out there.
* Web hosting service maintain a competitive edge by offering unlimited bandwidth opportunities. Data transfer is simply the amount of data transferred when people visit and look at images and content on the site. Loading photographs eats up the data transfer rate on a web hosts server and depending on the customers speed of access, this task can make it almost impossible for the customer to view the pages of the website. If that image was linked to another place, such as a home computer or another server, then each time the customer accessed the image, the transfer rate would not be counted on the business server.
* Quality internet hosting services do not act cheap or stingy at any time or make the customer feel uncomfortable for asking questions about the type of services that they have got or those that are available for a reasonable price. The best internet hosting sites will be the ones that encourage the customer to ask questions, before and after they secure service with that company. Some customers might want to know about the control panel that they will use to manage their online business. Other small business owners might be new to the web, and ask about any free hosting services that they might get.
* New customers will be able to decipher the quality traits of an internet hosting site when they are given the basics about web hosting and all of the tools that they will need to run their day to day business operations. When the support system is provide around the clock, the customer will be able to see that the internet host cares about their business. Some small businesses need to rely on web hosting to grow their business and know that the servers will be operational 24-hours a day. Lost time means lost business, and some startups cannot afford to miss out on potential customers. They need a quality internet hosting service that they can rely on.
Finding quality web hosting services does not mean that the service will be provided at the lowest price. The old adage that “you get what you pay for” is true but there are many quality services included in one low price and that fact will help many small business owners get a new lease on life.

Finding a good commercial cleaning company or janitorial service is essential for any company that deals with customers on a regular basis. A clean office space or store conveys a confident message that the business cares about their appearance and carries over that same attention to detail in their dealings with the public.
Therefore, choosing the right commercial cleaning company is an important step in ensuring that message is properly communicated to potential clients. There are many aspects to consider when seeking out janitorial services; however, the most important thing a company must decide on is whether the provider would work better on an in-house or contract basis.
Hiring someone for in-house commercial janitorial services generally means that one or two people will come on board to work eight hours a day at the specified office location. The cleaning crew will be available to take care of spills, stains or other messes on the spot, while maintaining a clean work environment throughout the remainder of the day. Contractors available for in-house services are typically paid by the hour or on a salary basis, depending on the preference of the hiring company.
Alternatively, a contracted service will visit the office space on a daily or weekly basis and work through the space in the matter of a few hours. They will typically handle the deep-cleaning of restrooms, kitchen spaces and floors, while tidying up the overall mess that has built up between visits. A company that works on a contract basis will typically bill by the job, and requires payment on a daily or weekly basis.
In addition to deciding between an in-house or contracted provider, another thing to consider is the use of green cleaning products. More cleaning providers than ever are using natural products or those with reduced chemicals at the request of their customers.
Therefore, if exposure to harsh cleaning products or chemicals is something that the company would like to avoid, it’s best to seek out commercial cleaning services that stay up to date with green methods. Admittedly, these services tend to cost more than a traditional office cleaning, but the choice may be worth it for those that suffer with asthma, allergies or a general desire to detoxify their life.
Finally, when hiring a commercial cleaning company, a cautious business owner will take the time to do a brief online search for positive and negative reviews of the company. Such reviews can be found on popular sites such as Google Maps, Yahoo Local or Yelp. Likewise, complaints can be found by checking the Better Business Bureau or by doing a name search in Google to see if the company has been mentioned on forums or blogs. A potential customer would be amazed at the results of such a search when considering a company with a bad track record over town.
A clean, well-maintained business environment is essential to how you appear to your customers, as well as how you and your employees feel about their workplace. A good, efficient janitorial company can have a bigger impact on your business image and employees’ well-being than you might think.

In the winter, it becomes very cold; kid’s resistance against diseases gets weaker so virus can easily break into their body. The following are kid’s popular diseases in the winter and ways to prevent them.
Pneumonia, bronchitis
This disease usually happens in infants, prematurely born babies and malnourished babies. This is also one of the leading causes of death among young children.
Kids infected with this disease exhibit the following symptoms:
- Having a fever of 38-39 degrees Celsius (malnourished babies may not). Use a thermometer regularly to check if your kids have a fever or not.
- Usually tired, have dry lips, and do not want to breastfeed or feed less than the usual.
- Having a cough (dry cough at the beginning, then with sputum).
- Having difficulty in breathing.
If kids have serious situation, the disease can be recovered by the following methods:
- Using antibiotic like penicillin, erythromycin, methixilin, cefalosporin generation II, III, quinolon group… Combine two or three types of antibiotics if necessary.
- Using breathing methods like oxygen if patients have breathing difficulties, breathing disorder.
- Herbal medicine can be used to reduce cough, you can also make them take paracetamol to reduce fever, keep kids warm, provide them enough water, milk and other essential foods.
Prevention of disease
- Suckle or feed kids regularly to improve their health and resistance.
- Keep kids’ environments or places where they stay and play on always clean.
- No smoking in front of kids and in kids’ room.
Normal influenza
Influenza is caused by a virus in the nose and throat, causing a light runny nose, cough, and fever and can be recovered after 5-7 days without using antibiotics.
This disease can easily expand in environments like classrooms, play areas and other public places. Aside from the methods to keep your kids safe from the disease, for the prevention of the disease, you should isolate your kids from those who are infected with influenza until they have fully recovered.
Parents should not worry much but keep calm when your kids get infected with this disease because it will not badly affect your kid’s health. What you should do in these cases are:
- Providing enough water to your kids. Fever and cough can cause dehydration in kids’ body so providing enough water to them is very important.
- Do not make kids eat too much with the purpose of helping their body recover from the influenza quickly. Infected with the disease, their digestive system is not as strong as usual so parents should feed kids with milk, soup or foods that are easy to digest.
- In those days, temperature indoor and outdoor should not have a big difference. The big difference will make your kids feel uncomfortable and find it more difficult to recover from the disease.
Furthermore, using air-condition or the fireplace can make kids’ respiratory system dry, easy to get a nosebleed and cough. Minimize the use of air conditioning as much as possible.

Most people think of traveling as relaxation, enjoying life and experiencing culture but they forget about studying a foreign language, which seems more and more common nowadays. Every year we have more than a thousand people who come to the States to study English through the channel of traveling. So, let’s take a closer look at this hot issue.
First of all, let’s take a look at people from developing countries. Most of them do not have a lot of money. So why do they want to travel to the States? Of course, they want to see America, and do many other things? How about the language? Is it that they just want to speak English with native people and they want to speak as much as possible?
If I could have enough money to travel, I would pick the States. Do you know why? Because I have always wished to speak with American English accent, and if I had that chance, why would I not get it? Probably if you are studying English in your country, you may study English from a teacher who is not a native. Who can be sure that she speaks it with the right accent?
And also, speaking with some foreigners in your country is different from speaking to many people and hearing English everywhere. That means you live with it, you are in the environment and you cannot do anything without it, which makes your study unforgettable and much better in a very short time.
Secondly for Spanish learners, you are in the States for example. You always speak Spanish with Mexican only. The Spanish Mexican speaking is different from the real Spanish and Spanish from Cuba for sure. So if you want to hear more versions of Spanish, you definitely should go to Spain or Cuba.
It is the best idea to travel while studying a foreign language. It makes your travel more helpful and practical than just a mere relaxation. One more thing about traveling in combination with studying a foreign language is that you will be closer to local people than any other travel you have experienced.
Imagine you are in their country, trying to speak their language, talk to local people, and make friends in their language too. All that things will make you much more than a sightseeing traveler and help you experience much more than you have ever thought you would. Some people when they come to another country, what they do is just hang out around the tourism spots, going to good local restaurants and buying souvenirs for their relatives and friends, which I find no interest in at all. I would think speaking to a local person, and learning about their culture would be much more fun than doing all other things.
I have one friend who went to Japan one time for travel and the reason he chose Japan as his destiny is that he speaks Japanese, and wants to practice his Japanese. It turned out to be a great trip for him. He made a lot of friends there. His Japanese improved greatly. He even found a very good job in Japan thanks to his Japanese skills and he ended up getting married to a Japanese girl.

People nowadays try to include as much veggies as possible in their diet food. Experts encourage people to eat veggies as much as possible, and more and more people are vegetarians nowadays. Why does that happen? Today, we are going to discover those and find out how good the veggies are for peoples’ health so that they can change the eating habit of millions of people.
We have tons of kinds of vegetable. Therefore, in this article, we are going to look at the main kinds of veggies only.
First of all, we have to look at all roots of veggies like potatoes and carrots. Carrots provide a lot of Vitamin A, which is good for your skin and your eyes. One carrot is much better than any Vitamin A pill you can take. You can eat raw carrots or put in your soup. Some people are very creative. They drink carrot juice, which is tasty and also very healthy. However, do not overuse them. Two kilos of carrot per week is already enough.
Your body will not need and be able to digest more than that. In terms of potatoes, which are very common to eat as soup? Potatoes are high in fiber and Vitamin C. It is not a common thought that potatoes would give you a lot of Vitamin C. However, it is very true that potatoes provide you with a big amount of Vitamin C. 200g of potatoes would be enough for your body for a whole week. Do not eat them too much otherwise your body will get sick of it later.
Then we can come to broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower. First of all, we should mention broccoli. Experts say broccolis are very good for your health because they prevent you from getting cancer. Besides, broccoli is also very rich in nutrients so that you do not have to worry of lacking essential nutrients for your body when you eat broccoli. 100 g of broccoli per day is already enough for your body, which will help keep you active for the whole day. Cabbage provides you a lot of Vitamin A and fiber.
Besides, it is very good in the fight against diseases. They will help your body filter the poisons and keep them clean very well. One note when you eat cabbage that you have to wash them carefully because the outer leaves tend to have chemicals. Cauliflower helps you with preventing cancer also. In addition, they also help to lower the risk of heart diseases. You can eat one or two cauliflowers per week, which seems a reasonable pace for this kind of vegetable.
We cannot miss pumpkin and squash. They are both rich in Vitamin A and C. They will help you circulate your blood very well, especially pumpkin. In addition, you can keep them for long without worrying that they will be spoiled. At most you can have them for one month in your house before you eat them. Soup made from pumpkin or squash are also very tasty and rich. You can eat them at least once a week.
Last but not least are seeweed and mushroom. They are both very tasty and good for your health. You can make many dishes with seeweed and mushroom. For any kind of soup, seeweed and mushroom can be added to have more flavors. They are very low in calories. So, those who are fat and afraid of gaining weigh should eat more of them.
